      The goalTo allow students to expand the knowledge in sanitary measures and good farm practice obtained during the studies of veterinary medicine, and to acquire skills in implementation and control of sanitary measures in animal facilities and animal processing industry.
      The outcomeExpanded knowledge and skills in veterinary sanitation applied in health protection and control and eradication of infectious diseases and antropozoonoses.
      Contents of lecturesThe importance of general hygiene and prevention measures. Disinfection in major animal diseases. Disinfection of the grounds. Disinfection of farm and animal industry facilities. Disinfection of water. Disinfection of transport vehicles. Disinsection. Deratisation. Deodoration (animal facilities and waste grounds). Quarantine. Veterinary legistative regarding disinfection, disinsection and deratization. The importance of sanitation and hygienic measures in animal housing and in environment. Sanitation and hygienic procedures applied in emergencies.
