      The goal Application of veterinary medical knowledge in order to evaluate the disease, defects and forensic findings in animal cruelty cases for the matters of law, investigative authorities and litigans. Know where to find up-to-date and reliable information regarding veterinary legislation and the rules and regulations governing the veterinary profession.
      The outcome To evaluate the responsibility and the value of the material damage in lawsuits using veterinary and medical facts in the field of veterinary medicine. Have a general knowledge of the fundamentals of national and EU veterinary legislation and of specific rules and regulations governing the veterinary profession.

      Contents of lectures The legal system; Legal protection of animals; Forensic evaluation of general pathomorphological changes; Forensic evaluation of the common viral and bacterial diseases; Forensic evaluation of the common parasitosis; Forensic evaluation of disease and defects of horses, ungulates, poultry, dogs, rabbits and bees; Injuries; Forensic evaluation in animal cruelty cases; Forensic laboratory techniques; Professional misconduct and responsibility of veterinarians; Kind of regulations; Veterinary Law; Law on State Administration; International veterinary organizations and EU directives.
