      The goal To improve students' knowledge about role of the endocrine system in regulation and control of the functions of other organ systems, to enable the student to a complex analysis of endocrine regulation and control systems of organs and tissues. To improve students' knowledge about hormones important for reeling diferent physiological and pathophysiological processes. To enable efficient learning about integrative regulations relevant for concerted functioning organ systems. To enable the successful adoption of knowledge on subjects in the next year of study
      The outcome Students should understand how are regulated functions of organs and organ systems, to understand their connection with the emergence of various diseases and to be able to apply their knowledge in solving various problems in experimental and practical work
      Contents
      Contents of lectures Rule of certain hormones in the pathogenesis of endocrine diseases in domestic animals. Integrative role of the endocrine system in the regulation of various physiological and pathophysiologi condition. The basic principles of research in endocrinology. Growth hormone and antagonists. The role of hormones in the disorder of metabolism of mineral substances. Hormonal regulation of the metabolism of calcium and phosphorus. Hypo- and hyperthyroidism. Endocrine aspectsi stress in domestic animals. The role of the endocrine cells of the pancreas in the occurrence of metabolic diseases. Homeostasis of glycemia. Insulin resistance. Laboratory techniques in the diagnosis and study of endocrine diseases.
