    The goal Acquiring knowledge about proper breeding and care of pigeons and cage birds and learning about their biological characteristics in order to facilitate the understanding of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
    The outcome The student should know the basic principles of breeding, care, nutrition, and basic diagnostic procedures that are applied in breeding pigeons and cage birds.

    Contents of lectures The most important species (pigeons and cage birds), Comparative morphological and histological characteristics of organic systems, types of flight, types of cages, types of nests, feeding young, preventive veterinary-sanitary measures, Problems of cage birds socialization, Legislative enactments concerning the keeping of cage birds, diagnostic and therapy
    Contents of exercises autopsy, cage bird species, breeding and care of pigeons and cage birds, clinical examination, therapy, vaccination, quarantine
