    ConditionPassed exam in Pathophysiology, Pathology, Special Pathology and Pharmacology and Toxicology.
    The goalBased on knowledge on reproduction, obstetrics, fertility, artificial insemination and diseases of the mammary gland in domestic animals, students are enabled to independently diagnose, take prophylaxis and treat illnesses.
    The outcomeReproduction, fertility and artificial insemination aims to prepare students for more effective and direct involvement in clinical practice through theoretical education and greater scope of practical work. Through theoretical and practical classes, clinical exercises and summer practice, students should acquire a complete picture of all aspects of the clinical pathology of the reproductive tract of domestic animals, so that, given the greater scope of practical work, they can work in practice right after the completion of their studies.
    Contents of lecturesIntroduction lecture, Neuroendocrine regulation of animal reproductive physilology, Endocrinology of genital organs, Oestrus cycle and oestrus, Mating (coitus) - natural insemination, Diseases and early embryonic development, Physiology of pregnancy, Pregnant female, Diagnosis of pregnancy in domestic animals, Physiological puerperium, Artificial insemination, Anatomy and physiology of male sex organs, Examination and evaluation of sperm in domestic animals, Methods of sperm preservation in domestic animals, buffalo, sheep, goats, mares, dogs, pigs, poultry and AI in fish, Fertilization in-vitro, AI in honey bee queens. Infertility of males, Pathology of pregnancy Pathology of parturition, Pathology of puerperium, Diseases of the udder and mastitis, Diseases in newborns, Fertility and infertility in domestic animals, Endogenous causes of infertility, Diseases of female sex organs, Chronic endometritis, pyometra and atypical secretion, Diseases and ovarian disorders in domestic animals, Application of hormones and biotechnology.     Methods of teachingTeaching methods: Theoretical teaching with interactive learning, using audio-visual methods (PowerPoint presentations, films), practical exercises in healthy and sick animals and practical work at the Clinic for reproduction, fertility and AI, as well as on farms of cows , sheep and pigs.
